Patient: Mr. Armando Ussivane
Medical Condition: Photophobia condition/
Mr. Armando was diagnosed with Photophobia condition.with irritation and pain in the eyes in the sunlight which was accompanied by nose blockage and difficulty in speaking.
He sought treatment in South Africa and Mozambique and he was advised to use sunglasses.

- Medical history was taken a few times in order to clearly understand his problem
- Three separate problems were identified. eyes problem, nose problem and speech problem
- It was decided to seek three opinions, for the 3 identified problems from the top most Eye, ENT and Laryngology doctors
Med Access “Multiple Expert Opinion “approach to arrive at the accurate diagnosis:
First consultation was with the top most ophthalmologist in JCI accredited hospital. All possible relevant tests were done and the conclusion was that there is no problem with his eyes. Since he had some dryness in the eyes, an eye drops were prescribed.
- Second opinion was sought from the top most ENT surgeon and he advised Nasal Endoscopy, Largyngoscopy and Nose CT Scan. Mr Armando was diagnosed with nose bone deviation and a little swelling inside his nose, may be due to any allergy. He was prescribed medicines to which he responded quite well.
- Third opinion was sought from the Laryngologist. The diagnosis established was that Mr Armando is having Gap (Fold) in vocal cord which causes problem is speech and the Voice Therapy was advised. Mr Armando responded well to the therapy.
- Med Access also put Mr Armando through complete Health check-up in order to rule out any other health issues.
- In total 10 days’ time, Mr Armando’s problem was identified, diagnosis was established and treatment was initiated to which he started responding quite well.
